Aneel Waraich
MBA
Aneel Waraich is the founder of ATMA Capital Markets and a financial services professional with progressive experience in both the asset management and corporate finance businesses. In previous roles at Goodman and Company Investment Counsel and Dundee Capital Markets he worked as an analyst valuating private equity companies. Most recently Mr. Waraich worked as an investment banker focusing on deal origination, going-public transactions and financings for both public and private companies in the resource and technology sectors.
Mr. Waraich completed his MBA at the Goodman Institute of Investment Management at John Molson School of Business and is currently a level III candidate in the CFA ® program (2012).

Toby Robert Pierce

Toby Pierce is a natural-resource executive with more than 19 years of extensive transactional and valuation experience in deal sizes ranging from several million to $1.3 billion. His body of experience in the Oil and Gas sector, ranging from well-site geology at Nexen and Burlington Resources to institutional research at Tristone Capital’s Calgary and London, to strategic valuation expertise and advisory as CEO and President of Crest Petroleum Corp.
As Partner and Lead Oil and Gas Analyst for GMP Europe Securities LLP, Mr. Pierce covered a variety of oil and gas companies with market capitalizations ranging from $30 million to $15 billion, and provided strategic advice and valuation expertise both internally to investment banking and sales partners, and externally to energy companies on asset acquisitions, financings, and capital markets, while conducting numerous site visits and asset reviews of operations around the globe. As Managing Director of Burnt Ridge Advisory, a natural resources advisory firm, Mr. Pierce focused on acquisitions, valuation, investments, M&A, deal structuring, and due diligence for resource companies and investors.
Mr. Pierce holds an MBA in Finance from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a B.Sc. (Earth Sciences) from University of Victoria.
Matt Wood

Matt Wood is a mineral resource explorer and developer with nearly three decades of global experience in mining and commodities investments. Mr. Wood held numerous executive positions in the mining industry.
Mr. Wood was formerly the joint founder and Executive Chairman of ASX All Sector 2010 IPO of the year, Hunnu Coal Limited. Hunnu Coal was sold to Banpu PCL in 2011 for A$500M and was awarded global deal of the year at Hong Kong Mines and Money in March 2012. Mr. Wood is also the Chairman of largest Mongolian lithium exploration company Ion Energy Limited, Chairman of Five Star Diamonds Limited as well as listed TSX capital pool companies Antler Hill Mining and Spirit Banner II Capital Corp.
Mr. Wood holds an HBSc. in Geology from University of New South Wales and a Graduate Certificate in Mineral Economics from the Western Australian School of Mines. He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). Recently awarded the Order of the Polar Star, the highest state honour that can be awarded to a non-citizen of Mongolia.
Jim Pimblett

Jim Pimblett is a partner at Beaconsfield Group, a leading advisory firm that provides specialized management consulting services to health and life sciences organizations. He is a corporate strategy consultant with extensive communications and stakeholder relations experience. He has worked with industry, governments (foreign and domestic), and civil society to deliver high quality projects that make a difference.
Mr. Pimblett has served three leaders of progressive Canadian political parties in senior roles and has extensive knowledge of government, including many of its most senior officials across Canada. His previous work experience includes Chief of Staff for the office of the Right Honorable Paul Martin former Prime Minister of Canada and executive assistant to the Prime Minister. Mr. Pimblett has also worked with Mr. Martin and other eminent public figures to develop a new strategic plan for the African Development Bank and helped establish the governance model for a $200MM international sustainable development and poverty alleviation fund.
Mr. Pimblett holds an MBA from Queen’s University.
Ali Haji

Ali Haji is CEO and Director of Ion Energy Ltd, and holds director roles at Antler Hill Mining Ltd. and Spirit Banner II Capital Corp. Mr. Haji has extensive knowledge of the financial services sector after having spent over 11 years in the Asset Management Industry performing strategic and process improvement roles.
He started his career as a technology analyst at Invesco Ltd. in 2006 and advanced into various roles including Technology Risk, Controls, Program Management, and Process Improvement with international assignments involving mergers and acquisitions in Hong Kong, U.S.A and Australia. Most recently, he was also a principal contributor to the creation of a Center of Excellence in London, England for Invesco Ltd.
Mr. Haji holds a BSc in Computer Science from University of Western Ontario.
Arinder Mahal

Arinder Mahal is Co-founder and CEO of 4Front Capital Partners, an independent investment bank. Prior to founding 4Front Capital Partners, Mr. Mahal was head of Technology and Cleantech investment banking at Dundee Capital Markets and was involved in financing both public and private companies and advised technology companies on strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Dundee’s investment banking team, he was a ranked equity analyst covering Canadian and U.S. technology companies.
Mr. Mahal started his professional career as an engineer at Nortel Networks and then moved on to Deloitte Consulting where he spent five years advising clients on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and operational and capital restructuring. He also founded and headed a software company and was a senior executive at a mobile software company where he headed business development and strategic initiatives.
Mr. Mahal is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.Eng in electrical engineering from University of Victoria and an MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University.
Amul Waraich

Amul Waraich is Co-founder of ATMACORP Ltd. Mr. Waraich gained extensive experience in the public sector, serving as a commissioned Army Signals officer in the Canadian Forces.
A seasoned leader, operational planner and resource manager, Mr. Waraich has considerable international operational experience with the CF, NATO, and the UN, including military deployments to Bosnia-i-Herzegovina, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
Mr. Waraich holds a BEng (Computer Engineering) from the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC). He is currently pursuing part-time studies in the RMCC Masters of Public Administration (MPA) programme.
